This micro-hydro generator is for those with low head but high volume installations. It can utilize a maximum of 1000 GPM falling 10 feet to produce 1kW of power. To gain enough head to operate this unit, water is channelled into a sluiceway. The turbine is mounted in an opening in the sluice bottom, with the draft tube extending to the water below. The water turns the propeller, which in turn runs the generator which produces electricity that is stored in batteries.
Energy Systems and Design has introduced a new type of nozzle for its hydro-electric generators. This makes it possible to create any size nozzle jet that might be required by simply cutting the nozzle to the appropriate length.
Energy Systems and Design has introduced a new type of low flow nozzle for its hydro-electric generators. This adapter will allow you to install different size nozzle inserts - purchased separately (1/8"-1/2").
Energy Systems and Design has introduced a new type of low flow nozzle for its hydro-electric generators. This nozzle insert is available in several sizes (1/8,3/16,1/4,5/16,3/8,1/2) and fits into the nozzle adapter - purchased separately.
Energy Systems & Design has been producing microhydro turbines since 1980. Their turbines use 4” pitch diameter bronze Turgo runners. Brushless alternators offer many advantages including an adjustable field to provide the most efficient output over a range of pressures, and lower maintenance as there are no more brushes requiring replacement. It can produce over 700 kWh per month. The Turgo design allows larger jets and thus is used in situations that require a lot of water flow. It can ...
