November 2009 Custom, highly redundant containerized power system. This system is designed to serve the needs of a large 10,000 sq ft retreat centre. It could also serve the needs of a small community of 10-15 energy efficient homes such as remote first nations or work camps. It is being used as generator/inverter hybrid system during the construction phase. Next year, a significantly sized solar photovoltaic array will be tied in and become the system's primary source of energy. This system is remotely monitored and controlled, has dual generators for redundancy, as well as a complete backup circuit which will take over should the inverter system stop producing power for any reason. System was completed on budget, and delivered during a record-setting day of "heavy rainfall warning" weather. Statistics: 18 kW of continuous inverter power, 32 kW surge |
